About Halla
Halla helps you find things to do, learn something or make something.
You can book things and see your week.
This page says what Halla keeps about you, and who sees it.
Who looks after your information
Halla looks after your information.
You can email Halla at privacy@halla.ie.
What Halla keeps
Your first name.
Your email, if you have your own account.
The area you live in.
Your Eircode, only if you add it. Only you see it. It is never on a map.
The year you were born.
What you book, and your week.
What you like, what helps you and what you find hard. Only if you tell us.
The places you have been to.
Your hello card, if you make one.
Who your Supporters are.
When you said yes to Halla.
What Halla never asks for
Your date of birth.
Your PPS number.
Your medical information.
You decide
Halla only keeps your information because you said yes.
Someone can help you decide. They do not decide for you.
You can change your mind at any time.
If you are under 18, a parent or guardian is linked to your Halla. If you are under 16, they say yes too. Then you say yes yourself.
Who sees your information
You see all of it.
Your Supporters see only what you choose.
Your service sees it only if it added you, or you joined it.
You can leave your service at any time. Your Halla stays yours.
The person running a class sees your first name only.
If you are under 18, your parent or guardian sees your week until you are 18.
Your hello card
You choose when to show your hello card.
Staff at that place see it only while you are there.
They do not keep it.
When you leave, it goes.
Halla never sells your information
Not to anyone. Not ever.
No adverts.
Numbers
Halla counts things, like how many people came to a class.
Counts never show your name.
Counts never show fewer than 5 people.
On My places you can press Use where I am now. Your phone asks you first. Where you are stays on your phone. Halla never sees it.
Only the person in charge of Halla sees the exact numbers. They never see names in the numbers.
